Join us for a night of solidarity, awareness, and community — spend one night outside in a cardboard shelter to help raise funds and awareness for neighbors facing hunger and housing instability.
Location
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) Campus
Schedule
- 4:30 PM — Gather & Check-In (rolling arrival — come when you can!)
- 6:30–8:00 PM — Community Awareness Time, open to the public: cardboard advocacy walk & community partner booths
- ~6:45 PM — Reflection Moment
- Overnight — Sleep-out in cardboard shelters
- 7:00 AM — Morning coffee, closing reflections & departure
What to Bring
Sleeping bag or blankets, pillow, warm clothing, cardboard boxes, duct tape — and a flashlight or headlamp! The event runs past sunset (~7 PM), and we’re keeping it simple this year with no installed lighting.
How to Get Involved
Cardboard Nation is peer-to-peer fundraising — every participant sets up their own personal fundraising page (or joins a team page) to collect donations from friends, family, and coworkers ahead of the event.
- Become a fundraiser — click the button above to create your own personal fundraising page. Share it on social media, email, or text to invite others to support you.
- Join or start a team — gather friends, coworkers, your church, or a civic group and register as a team of 4 or more. Team members each fundraise individually, and your totals combine toward your team’s goal.
- Most participants reach their goal by asking just 10–15 people to give.
Suggested Fundraising Minimums
- Adults (18+): $200 individual
- Youth (under 18): $100 individual
- Teams of 4+: $750 minimum combined
Every dollar helps Warm Blessings Community Kitchen continue serving hot meals, dignity, and hope to our neighbors.
